The Biblioteca Riccardiana is located in the heart of Florence, inside the palace that once belonged to the Medici’s family. We are in the middle of the seventeenth century and the Riccardi’s family ordered to make the sober and austere Medici’s residence more magnificent: in the precious shell of the Palace that already contained a jewel, the Cappella dei Magi frescoed by Benozzo Gozzoli, the Riccardi’s family designed the Library and the Galleria degli Specchi of the first floor, whose archway was decored by Luca Giordano.
