VIDEO CONVERSATIONS INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL ON ART AND ARCHITECTURE 9th edition 2015 October 19-23 Casa dell’Architettura (House of Architecture)| Rome Video Conversations is a festival of documentary films on art and architecture organized by the Cultural Association Art Doc Festival and promoted by the Scientific Comittee of the Casa dell’Architettura. The Festival rises from the desire to take a deeper look into art and architecture through the video.
For the 2015 Art Doc Festival is presenting the project for the 9th edition of Video Conversations. International Documentary Film Festival on Art and Architecture, which will take place again for the third year in the marvellous space of the Acquario Romano, headquarters of the Casa dell’Architettura (House of Architecture) of Rome, from the 19th to te 23rd of October. The Festival will go on for 5 days and the screenings will start at 6.30 p.m. till 9 p.m. Every evening the most important documentaries will be introduced by directors, architects and important cinema critics. All the screenings, as always, will be free for entrance. The event’s programme will be defined once we get the documentaries through the call for entries we will launch on the 2015 spring. The last edition of the Festival took place with the adhesion of the President of the Italian Republic and with the patronages of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the Lazio Region. It is also two years that Video Conversations is part of the International Film Festival of Rome, being included in its collateral events. The Festival was also included by the municipality of Rome in the special list Festivals of particular cultural interest for the city of Rome 2014-2016. The Festival will be structured into 20 documentaries divided in the sections "Art", "Architecture" and the special section for this year "Recycle - Reuse". A selecting committee will decide which of the submitted works to include in the review, taking into account: films in world premiere or almost national premiere, films characterized by a particular and original glance on the topics of the Festival and films which suggest new ways and form to use video and images. A selected jury of experts will award the prize for best documentary in each section.
